China Clay

China Clay

China Clay, also known as Kaolin Clay, is a mineral composed of Aluminum Silicate (Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O) and is structurally characterized by its platy nature. In its hydrated form, it's referred to as Hydrous Kaolin, and through a high-temperature process known as Calcination, the water molecules are removed to produce Calcined Kaolin. These two clays serve vital roles in various industries. Hydrous Kaolin, with its fine particle size, softness, and high elasticity, is used as a filler in applications like paints, ink, rubber, and agrochemicals. On the other hand, Calcined Kaolin, prized for its high purity, opacity, whiteness, and brightness, is employed as a filler in paints, ink, cosmetics, plastics, paper, and wire & cable, offering improved optical properties. In fact, it can partially replace up to 20% of Titanium Dioxide in water and solvent-based semi-gloss paints. We offer a comprehensive range of China Clay/Kaolin, including Natural, Hydrous, and Calcined varieties, known for their high purity, fine particle size, luster, opacity, gloss, and anti-cracking properties.
